It gives us immense pleasure to extend a cordial invitation to your esteemed institution to participate in the upcoming edition of our 1st badminton tournament Prometheus Cup slated to be held at the sprawling campus of Prometheus school at Prometheus sports academy in the vibrant city of Noida, Uttar Pradesh month of July.
The primary aim of our Badminton Tournament is to provide a platform for budding shuttlers to showcase their talent, passion and sportsmanship. Through this event, we seek to foster a spirit of healthy competition, camaraderie, and mutual respect among the participants. We firmly believe that sports play a pivotal role in nurturing holistic development by instilling values such as teamwork, perseverance, and discipline.

- Tournament date: – July 27th to July 28th, 2024
- Venue: – Prometheus Sports Academy.
- The tournament will feature a range of categories catering to various age group like, including:
- Boys singles (U-09, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17, U-19,MS)
- Boys doubles (U-13, U-15, U-17,MD)
- Girls singles (U-09, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17, U-19,WS)
- Girls doubles (U-13, U-15, U-17,WD)
- Mixd Doubles

- For the categorising of age latest (Badminton Association of India) BAI* rules have been followed. They are as follows:
- For Under 09, children born in 2016 or later can play.
- For Under 11, children born in 2014 or later can play.
- For Under 13, children born in 2012 or later can play.
- For Under 15, children born in 2010 or later can play.
- For Under 17, children born in 2008 or later can play
- For under 19, children born in 2006 or later can play.
PRIZE MONEY/AWARD:
• Prize money is up to Rs. 2,00,000 lakhs.
• For singles Under-9,11,13,15, category it is Winner Cash Prize RS :- 3100 and for Runer Up Cash Prize RS :- 2100.
• For Singles Under-17,19 category it is Winner Cash Prize RS :- 4100 and for Runer Up Cash Prize RS :- 2100.
• For Singles Men’s/Women’s category it is Winner Cash Prize RS :- 8000 and for Runer Up Cash Prize RS :- 4000.
• For Doubles Men’s/Women’s category it is Winner Cash Prize RS :- 8000 and for Runer Up Cash Prize RS :- 4000.
· For Doubles Mixed Category it is Winner Cash Prize RS :- 8000 and for Runer Up Cash Prize RS :- 4000.
• Minimum 16 entries required in each category to qualify for cash prizes.
• No cash prize will be awarded if fewer than 16 entries are received in a category. Winners and runners-up can get free coaching for 1 session for 1 month with our National and International coaches in Prometheus sports academy.
DATE AND TIMINGS:
• The tournament will be held from 27th July 2024 to 28th July 2024.
• Last date of entry is 25th July 2024.
RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE TOURNAMENT:
• Entry fees for individual events singles is Rs. 1000/- and for doubles is Rs. 2000/-
• Entry fees for team events per player per event Rs. 1000/-
• All players must carry their school ID card or Adhaarcard for identification. Birth certificate is also valid.
• Protest fees will be Rs. 1000/-
• The organization or the staff will not be responsible for your personal belongings.
• Proper attire (lower, t-shirt and shoes) is required for a parent or a coach to sit behind their players’ matches.
• Feather shuttlecock will be used.
• Non-marking or shoes with gum soles are only allowed while playing.
• 15 points best of 3 knockout matches will be played till Quarterfinals and from Semi-finals 21 best of 3 will be played.
• Only pre-paid entries would be considered and no entries through cash or any other offline mode is valid.
• Players should report 20 minutes before their match timings.
• Walkover would be given if a player has not reported until after 30 minutes of his match timings.
• Trophies will be awarded to winners and runners-up.
• Certificates will be awarded to everyone.
• Refreshments will be provided to the players.
• Referee’s decision will be the final decision.
• All rules are to be followed according to The Badminton Association of India.
